Chris First is a recognized leader in the generative AI space, running the largest generative AI community on X with over 200,000 members. Their work spans global industry engagement and education, having hosted tech workshops for companies like Minimax, one of China’s largest AI firms and parent company of Hailuo, a top generative video platform ranked #12 among GenAI web products by a16z.

Chris has worked with companies such as Higgsfield to support their product launch and HeyGen to showcase new tools in their AI suite. They have served as a panelist alongside AI leaders from Google, venture capital firms, and emerging AI startups, contributing to conversations shaping the future of the industry. They also led a mentoring session at NYU Tisch School of the Arts for the GenART AI Film Hackathon, supporting students and creators in learning how to use AI tools to develop original short films.

Their work has been featured in Forbes, has placed in the top 25 for open format films in Project Odyssey Season 2, and has millions views across their videos.

COMMUNITY BUILDING

GENERATIVE AI on X

A few years ago, I joined the Generative AI Community on X and helped transform it into a massive, thriving hub. I originally came on as a moderator to help manage spam but eventually became the new Admin. Since then, I’ve grown the community from 22,000 members to over 200,000, adding 50,000 members just this year alone.

I’ve also hosted X Spaces featuring creators who shared their work, along with tips on making AI short films and monetizing in this fast-evolving industry.

CHALLENGES

Every week in the community we have people submit their best images for a chance to become this week's header.

This helps spotlight new and talented creators within the community to help drive community engagement.
